“It was a miserably cold and rainy day of his funeral. The Naval Academy color guard was gracious enough to assist with his burial and provided a wonderful ceremony.  My father would have probably thought it was too much since he was quite modest of his military service.  We were and still are very proud of his service to our country.  I think it is something we appreciate more now as adults and parents.”
