Donald D. Brittin, 76, of Bremerton died of cancer Sunday at a nursing home.

He was born in California to Bill and Gwen Brittin. On Jan. 30, 1965, he married Donna Anderson in Winterhaven, Calif.

Mr. Brittin retired from his 20 1/2-year naval career in 1984 and worked 9 1/2 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.

He enjoyed collecting stamps and Navy cups, old movies and playing cards.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Barbara and Bill. Surviving are his wife; children, Bill of Seattle, Dolores of Buckley, Janis of Louisiana, Gayle of Chico and Norma of Bremerton; brothers, David (Pat) and Neil (Louise); grandchildren, Mike, Brian, Kiley, Alissa, LaDawna, Johnathan, Dean, Trina, Jacklin and John; great-grandchildren, Bailey Ann, Cody, Kelsey, Brian II, Tristin, Jada, Alasin, Anthony and Mathew; and friends, Les, Carol, Betty, Ike, Pete and Marty.
