Marvin Ross Lemons LOCKNEY - Graveside services for Marvin Ross Lemons, 68, of
Emory, former Lockney resident, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Lockney Cemetery
by Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney. Mr. Lemons died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009,
in Emory. He was born July 6, 1941, in Lockney to Carl Francis Lemons and Grace
Marie Anderson Lemons. He attended Lockney public schools and served in the U.S.
Navy from 1962-66. He married Linda Gail Carthel on Nov. 1, 1967, in Lockney.
She died April 16, 2002. He was a longtime resident of the Floyd and Hale
counties area. He was employed by the City of Plainview as a superintendent for
Seth Ward Water Supply Corp. He moved to Emory in 2003. Survivors include two
sons and daughters-in-law, David Ross and Susie Lemons of Lindale and Cory Vance
and Jennie Lemons of Lubbock; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica Jo and
Steven Vasquez of Wichita Falls and Diana Dee and John Trischitti of Terrell; a
brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Linda Lemons of Quitaque; two sisters,
Francis Whatley of Mesquite and Carla Gayley of San Antonio; and 11
grandchildren. His parents and one brother, Edward Lemons, are deceased.
Memorials be made in Marvin Ross Lemons' name to Green Acres Care Center, 983 N.
