2. NOTES

     a. Prior to arrival Pearl Harbor, all foreign produced vegetables and fruit and any packing material of string made of rice straw- must be disposed of. Do not stow food brought on board in foreign ports. or taken from the mess deck in any space or locker any of the above material. If found on board by agriculture inspectors. Will delay the ship's process~ and sailing for the states. All department heads report to the executive officer that spaces have been inspected for above materials prior to arrival pearl harbor.

b. Each department will conduct the following training today

VACATION OF SUSPENSION.
     Prior to the vacation of the suspension of a special court-martial sentence which as approved includes a bad-conduct discharge, or of any general court-martial sentence, the officer having special court- martial jurisdiction over the probationer shall hold a hearing on the alleged violation of probation, The probationer shall be represented at such hearing by counsel if he so desires.
(b) The record of the hearing and the recommendations of the officer having special court-martial jurisdiction shall be forwarded for action to the officer exercising general court-martial jurisdiction over the probationer. If he vacates the suspension, the vacation shall be effective subject to applicable restrictions in article 71 (c), to execute any unexecuted portion of the sentence except a dismissal. The vacation of the suspension of a dismissal shall not be effective until approved by the Secretary of the Department.
(c) The suspension of any other sentence may be vacated by any authority competent to convene, for the command in which the accused is serving or assigned, a court of the king that imposed the sentence.
